A native of Southside Chicago, Deathface rose to infamy as Johnny Love, via his early 2000’s minimal/french touch parties at The Jerkstore in his hometown, which ended in both multiple arrests and notable press from the likes of Timeout Chicago, URB and XLR8R.

Johnny Love relocated to Los Angeles to become half of hard-hitting electro-house duo Guns N’ Bombs, who were quickly offered a contract from the founder of Kitsuné in 2006, before Love went on to join the Trouble & Bass crew alongside AC Slater until 2012.

A complex smattering of techno, EBM, black metal and industrial influences over the past decade have manifested the brooding complexity present in Deathface’s recent releases, including the Fall of Man EP and From Beneath EP.
